Communication & Scheduling

  • Communication is mostly in written form (text or email) so that sitter has record of conversations and requests.
  • If pet owner needs a number to call (for emergency purposes only) please let sitter know and it can be discussed. Number provided is a Google Voice number and does not take incoming calls but I answer text right away always.
  • Future sits can be scheduled via text with pet sitter. There is no online portal for that.
    Include dates needed for sits and how many visits a day. It gets simpler once we get a normal routine figured out.
    Example of request format: “Jan 1-5. first day 3x, morning, afternoon and evening. last day 1x morning only”

Calendar, Invoicing & Payment

  • A calendar link will be sent during sit reminder text a day or 2 before sits start date. Invoice is in the top left corner tab of the calendar. Payment options will be in the bottom left corner of invoice. Sitter takes Cash, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or the occasional Apple Pay.
  • New clients are required to send half payment before and half after until a relationship is formed.
  • IF client decides to pay in full ahead of time and then needs to shorten or cancel their trip then a credit will be applied towards a future sit. NO REFUND.

Client Expectations

  • Please communicate with pet sitter in a timely fashion. Having a mutual respect and understanding of each other’s time/needs is very important to ensure proper care is provided for your pet(s) as well as other’s.
  • A meet & greet is required before ACE will accept a new client. During meeting an “Agreement” will be signed and we will review all care information collected from google Intake form.

Additional Fees

Reasons additional fees might be added include:

  • When there are more pets than the type of sit allows. Please see service description.
  • When client lives outside the normal service area. Over 10+ driving miles from sitters residence.
  • When extra time is needed to care for pet.
  • When extra tasks are asked of sitter.
  • When a sit is scheduled late or during a holiday.

Services & Business Notes

  • Live in or boarding sits are not offered by Ace. Overnights are a rare occasion but can discuss as an option.
  • Ace is a small privately owner business with only the owner providing services as well as 1 additional sitter during peak seasons.
  • Discounts are not offered for “long term” sits, all sits take the same amount time and care as a normally scheduled one. Discounts for clients who live in my neighborhood are offered.
